A LA CARTE DIVING:
The cost per dive is on a sliding scale per person. Dive prices include tanks, weights and valet diving service.
• 1-4 dives $40 per dive per person
• 5-10 dives $35 per dive per person
• 11+ dives $30 per dive per person
Note: refreshers are strongly recommended for divers who have been out of the water for more than a year. This can be completed at home with your local dive shop prior to your vacation, or we can arrange it here at Barefoot Divers for you before your first day of diving. Please see refresher details below under ‘Refreshers for Certified Divers’.
• Private Guide
$25 per dive. Mandatory on all dives for junior divers ages 10-11 and divers with ‘Scuba Diver’ certification due to the 40′ depth limitation. Optional for other divers who would like added attention.
• Shore Dives
Certified divers only. Shore dive from our house reef (palapa) – $8 per dive. Must dive with buddy, and only available for resort guests. Extra $12 per person for guide. Makes a great night dive!
• Nitrox Enriched Air
Surcharge of $10 per tank ($9 per tank surcharge if purchasing 10 or more Nitrox fills). Must have Enriched Air certification to use Nitrox.
• Night Dives
Certified divers only. Boat night dive $20 surcharge on regular dive rate, minimum of 4 divers. $8 torch rental. Must have completed Night Adventure Dive to participate or be able to prove previous logged night dives (Night Adventure Dive available for $75 including the dive and equipment rental). Also see shore diving, above.
Charged as 2 dives plus $20 surcharge per person.

*Sales tax of 15% applies to all scuba diving and snorkeling rates, except for courses, gratuities not included.
Each diver or snorkeler who comes to Roatan to visit our beautiful reef is asked to pay a marine park fee, which is $5 for a day or $10 for the year.
Learn to Dive
Classes available in English or Spanish. Prices are non-taxable and include applicable course materials unless otherwise indicated, but not gratuities or additional dives. Please see our ‘Learn to Dive’ page for full details about each of these experiences or courses.
• PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience (1/2 day) $135
An introduction to scuba diving, but not a certification course. a half-hour of theory, practicing basic dive skills in shallow water, then a dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet. Ages 10 and up.
Discover Scuba Diving – Optional additional Open Water Dive (1 dive) $85
• PADI Scuba Diver Course (2-3 days) $325, or $270 with e-Learning completed
Three theory lessons with a manual, three confined water sessions, and two dives to a maximum of 40 feet. Course results in limited PADI certification. Ages 10 and up (students under 15 receive PADI Junior Scuba Diver certification).
• PADI Open Water Diver Course (4-5 days) $475, or $395 with e-Learning completed
Five theory lessons with a manual and video, five confined water sessions, and four dives to a maximum depth of 60 feet. Ages 10 and up (students under 15 receive PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification, but resulting certification carries restrictions)
PADI Open Water Diver Referral (2 half days) $295 for PADI referrals, or $345 if referring from any agency other than PADI
Four open water dives to complete Open Water Diver certification (must arrive with academic and confined water training for the open water course completed in advance). Rental dive gear available for half price for certification dives.
Upgrade from PADI Scuba Diver to Open Water Diver (1-2 days) $285
Two theory lessons, two confined water sessions, and two dives to a maximum depth of 60 feet.
• PADI Bubblemaker (1 hour) $100
Scuba diving experience for children in our pool, staying at a depth of less than six feet of water. Ages 8-9.
Refreshers for Certified Divers
• Basic Refresher (2 hours) $55
A confined water session focusing on refreshing basic dive skills
• PADI Reactivate (2 hours) $25 with e-Learning completed

Refreshers are strongly recommended for divers who have been out of the water for more than a year. The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure Dive (see pricing for Adventure dive below – can be applied towards PADI Adventure Diver or PADI Advanced Open Water certifications) is recommended after completing either a Basic Refresher or PADI Reactivate, in order to help improve diving comfort level so divers are ready to join the fun diving boat.
Continuing Education for Certified Divers
Classes available in English or Spanish. Prices are non-taxable and include applicable course materials unless otherwise indicated, but not gratuities or additional dives. Please see our ‘Continuing Education’ page for full details about each of these courses. A minimum age of 12 and an Open Water Diver certification are prerequisite for all continuing education courses (some courses have additional requirements).

Three adventure dives, and corresponding theory sessions if applicable.
• PADI Adventure Dive (1 dive) $75
One adventure dive of a specific specialty with corresponding theory and confined water sessions if applicable. Log book and manual required (manual can be purchased for $40)
• PADI Advanced Open Water Course (2-3 days) $360, or $300 with e-Learning completed
Five adventure dives, which must include a deep dive and a navigation dive, and corresponding theory sessions if applicable.
